How to keep roasted veggies from getting soggy?
Reduce soggy roasted vegetables with dry surfaces, sensible batch size and a shallow tray on the recommended rack. Follow oven, pan and parchment limits.

Dry the vegetables, avoid crowding and use a suitable shallow tray on the oven rack. Those are useful first changes when vegetables steam instead of brown. Keep oven temperature, rack position and pan choice within their instructions; putting a tray directly on the oven floor is not a general roasting shortcut.
Find where the extra moisture comes from
After washing, dry the surfaces before adding oil. Check frozen vegetables and marinades against the actual recipe: extra liquid can collect on the pan. Cut pieces to reasonably similar sizes so a few large pieces do not hold the whole batch in the oven while smaller ones soften.
A crowded tray gives released moisture less space to disperse. Split a large batch between suitable trays or cook smaller batches, following your oven’s directions for rack positions and multi-tray cooking. A deeper dish can also hold liquid around the vegetables instead of exposing their surfaces.

Roast on the supported rack
Wolf’s oven guidance warns that cookware on the oven floor can cause permanent damage. Other models have their own restrictions. Keep the tray on a rack and follow the manual rather than adopting an oven-floor method from a recipe written for another appliance.
CA GROWN’s roasting example uses a hot oven, dry vegetables, a sheet pan and space between pieces. Its temperature is a starting point for that method, not proof that turning every oven to its maximum fixes sogginess. Match the recipe and monitor the batch, especially when the vegetable, cut size or tray changes.
Check liners and coatings
Use a tray suited to the recipe’s temperature. If you line it, read the actual liner instructions. Reynolds states a 425°F limit for its parchment and warns against contact with oven surfaces, flames and a broiling unit. Do not copy a hotter roasting setting while ignoring the paper’s lower limit.
If you want to try direct pan contact, use a recipe and pan that support that method. Do not substitute wax paper for exposed oven parchment. Inspect the vegetables during cooking and turn them as the recipe directs, rather than promising one exact turning time for every tray.

Judge the result, then change one thing
If liquid pools, note whether the cause was crowding, wet surfaces or a particularly watery mix. Next time, test one change, such as a smaller batch, while keeping the other conditions similar. A dry pan and browned surface are useful observations; they do not mean every vegetable should have the texture of a fried chip.
Serve promptly when texture matters. A lid, sauce or later refrigeration changes the moisture conditions. If you are cooking ahead, follow safe leftover cooling and reheating guidance rather than leaving vegetables uncovered on the counter just to preserve crispness.
Put this into practice
Record tray size, batch amount and surface moisture before changing oven settings. Try one supported change on the next batch, such as more space, so you can identify what improved the result.

A shallow pan may help you spread the vegetables without crowding. Check the oven, pan and any liner limits instead of raising the heat indiscriminately.
